Grounding this commemorative piece are the Salzach River and two central hills that envelop the historic center of Salzburg. In creating this piece I studied the apparent colors of the Baroque architecture and exaggerated their appearance. The resulting color palette is reminiscent of the bright, pastel-colored facades that line the cobblestone streets, and the verdant landscapes that surround Salzburg.
