Maps

My work begins with maps and satellite imagery—ordinary, utilitarian tools that most of us engage with every day but rarely stop to consider visually. I am interested in transforming these familiar systems into paintings that operate between representation and abstraction—uncovering the patterns, rhythms, and relationships already embedded within the landscape. Through simplification, selective emphasis, and reimagined color palettes, I seek to reveal overlooked visual possibilities and create compositions that feel both recognizable and unexpected.
