At 235 feet, Haystack Rock is the iconic centerpiece of Cannon Beach, as well as the focal point of this oil painting. Perhaps my favorite aspects of this piece are the colors and textures I used for the water and sand—reminding me of times spent at this picturesque stretch of coastline, where the rocks become the majestic foreground to an epic sunset at the end of each day.
