Blue Basin, Oregon
Blue Basin is a part of the John Day Fossil Beds National Monument in Central Oregon. Most Oregonians have heard about the Painted Hills nearby, but fewer folks have ventured further to explore this natural wonder of Oregon. The lower hiking trail takes you into the center of this mini “Grand Canyon”, where the blue and green shades are unbelievable until you see for yourself.
